About the fire rated shaft door
Service shafts carry cables, pipes and ducts through every floor — and if left unprotected they carry fire and smoke too. The SFD 505 shaft door closes the access opening with the same fire-resisting construction as our full-height doors: 50 mm thick, 1.2 mm cold-rolled mild steel skins, honeycomb or rock wool core, rated up to 180 minutes.
Shaft doors are made to the opening, flush with the wall and lockable, so maintenance teams have access while the shaft stays compartmented.
