About the single leaf fire rated door
The SFD 501 is the workhorse fire door for stair cores, exit routes, store rooms and plant rooms. Each leaf is a 50 mm steel sandwich: two 1.2 mm cold-rolled steel skins, mechanically interlocked and hemmed on the vertical edges, with inverted top and bottom channels welded to both face sheets, around a honeycomb or high-density rock wool core.
The door is built to compartmentalise fire and smoke for up to 180 minutes. It ships with UL-certified 3-hour stainless steel hinges (four per leaf), an imported perimeter smoke seal, and can be fitted with a UL-marked panic exit device, UL-marked closer and 6 mm tempered vision glass.
Standard sizes run from L 750 × H 2100 mm to L 1200 × H 2400 mm, and any size inside that envelope can be produced. Finish is powder coat in the colour of your choice from the full RAL chart, subject to order quantity.

Safety Plus fire rated doors are built for fire ratings of up to 180 minutes. The rating you need depends on where the door sits in the building — tell us the location and the drawing reference and we will propose the right configuration.
Can you make a non-standard size?
Yes. Any single-leaf size within L 1200 × H 2400 mm can be produced, alongside the standard sizes listed. Larger openings are handled as double-leaf doors.
Do you install the doors?
Yes. Doors are fixed with imported anchor bolts through pre-drilled frame holes, and our technical team can visit site to measure and install.
