About the double leaf fire rated door
The SFD 502 handles the wide openings that single doors cannot: loading corridors, main stair lobbies, production-floor exits and plant rooms that need equipment access. Both leaves share the SFD construction — 50 mm thick, 1.2 mm cold-rolled steel skins, honeycomb or rock wool core — and the assembly is rated for up to 180 minutes.
Double doors are where hardware matters most. We supply them with UL-certified stainless steel hinges, imported smoke seals around the frame, and can fit UL-marked panic exit devices, closers and door coordinators so both leaves close in the right order. Vision panels use 6 mm tempered glass with a standard exposed area of 450 × 150 mm.
Standard double-leaf sizes run from L 1500 × H 2100 mm to L 2200 × H 2400 mm. Tell us the clear opening and the door handing and we will confirm the leaf split.

Safety Plus fire rated doors are built for fire ratings of up to 180 minutes. The rating you need depends on where the door sits in the building — tell us the location and the drawing reference and we will propose the right configuration.
Can you make a non-standard size?
Yes. Any single-leaf size within L 1200 × H 2400 mm can be produced, alongside the standard sizes listed. Larger openings are handled as double-leaf doors.
Do you install the doors?
Yes. Doors are fixed with imported anchor bolts through pre-drilled frame holes, and our technical team can visit site to measure and install.
