About the fire door hardware & accessories
A fire door is only as good as its hardware. Every component on the leaf must be suitable for the rating, and the door must close and latch on its own. These are the accessories Safety Plus fits to its doors and supplies for maintenance and replacement.
Hinges are UL-certified 3-hour stainless steel (4.5" × 4.0" × 3.4 mm, four per leaf). Panic exit devices and door closers are UL marked, with adjustable closing and latching speed and a thermo-constant valve on the closer. Vision panels use 6 mm tempered glass set with stainless steel pop rivets. Smoke seals are imported and run around all sides of the frame, and frames are fixed with standard anchor bolts in pre-drilled holes.

Questions about this product
Can I use ordinary hinges on a fire door?
No. Hinges, closers, locks and panic devices on a fire door must be suitable for its rating — a standard hinge can fail long before the door does.
